The session with „The Birmingham Blues Friends“ is like taking a step back to the 50´s with some great sax playing from Paul Corry.Dean Beresford on drums and Al Gare on Bass back Clayton superbly well and are all on board and coastin´ on the breath-taking „Boogie in the Barn“.
The 2nd session is a mixture of solo and duo with Florian Graf on drums demonstrating Clayton´s outstanding ability and feel. The last session offers a new take of „midnight baby“ and is an exellent inclusion on a CD which is full of colour and excitement and shows once again that Steve „Big Man“ Clayton is indeed the King of Barrelhouse piano!"
