"This CD contains sessions from 3 different times and places.
The session with „The Birmingham Blues Friends“ is a like taking a step back to the 50´s with some great sax playing from Paul Corry.Dean Beresford on drums and Al Gare on Bass back Clayton superbly well and are all on board and coastin´ on the breath-taking „Boogie in the Barn“.
The 2nd session is a mixture of solo and duo with Florian Graf on drums demonstrating Clayton´s outstanding ability and feel. The last session offers a new take of „midnight baby“ and is an exellent inclusion on a CD which is full of colour and excitement and shows once again that Steve „Big Man“ Clayton is indeed the King of Barrelhouse piano!" "Steve Clayton has played with many of the big blues stars, and is a perma-nent fixture on the European piano scene. He has been recording under his own name for a long time.
